What to Have Ready

None of this is required to send the form, but it makes the call back shorter and the visit faster.

  • The address. And the best number to reach you during the day.
  • What is happening. Which fixtures are affected, when it started and anything you have already tried.
  • For a water heater. The brand, capacity and fuel from the rating plate on its side, and its age if you know it.
  • Where the main shutoff is. Usually where the water line comes through the basement wall or floor, by the meter. If water is leaking, turn it off now.
  • Clear access. A path to the problem area, the water heater and the main cleanout if drains are backing up.
