Plumbing Services in Cuyahoga Falls

From a dripping shutoff valve to a whole-house repipe: everything we do, how to tell which service fits your problem, and what a visit involves.

What We Do

Cuyahoga Plumbing handles leak detection, drain cleaning, water heater repair and installation, sewer line work, fixture installation and full repiping jobs, for residential service calls and larger commercial projects alike. Declan Willis does most of the hands-on work himself, and most of his days are water heater installs, repiping, drain cleaning and leak repairs.

Every job starts the same way. We look at the problem, explain what is going on and quote the work upfront. We do not publish a price list, because the same symptom can be a quick fix in one house and a bigger repair in the next. What we do promise is that you will know the price before work begins, with no extra fees padded onto the invoice, and that we will not sell you work you do not need. Our process page walks through a visit step by step.

Which Service Do You Need?

Start with what you are seeing. The table lists the common signs for each service, what our visit involves and when it is worth calling right away.

Service Common Signs What the Visit Involves When to Call Right Away
Drain Cleaning One sink, tub or floor drain that is slow, gurgles or backs up Find where the clog sits, clear it with the right cable or tool, then test the flow at every fixture on that line When a drain is backing up into the house or a toilet is overflowing
Water Heaters No hot water, lukewarm or rusty hot water, rumbling, a puddle under the tank Test the burner or elements and the controls, check the tank, venting and relief valve, then repair it or quote a replacement When the tank is leaking or the house has no hot water
Sewer Lines Several drains backing up at once, a sewer smell in the yard, a soggy patch over the line Locate the problem in the line, show you what we find, then lay out the repair and replacement options When sewage comes up through a floor drain or the toilets will not flush
Pipe Repair & Repiping Pinhole leaks, ceiling stains, rusty water, pressure that keeps dropping Find the leak, repair the damaged section and check the rest of the piping for the same problem When water is actively leaking: shut off the main valve first
Frozen Pipes No water at one faucet on a cold morning, frost on a pipe, stains after a thaw Thaw the line safely, find any split, repair it and protect that spot from the next freeze Right away: a frozen pipe can split, and the leak starts when it thaws
Property Inspection Buying or just bought a home; unknown pipe material or water heater age Walk the whole system: supply and drain lines, shutoffs, water heater, fixtures and signs of past leaks Not an emergency: book it before closing if you can
Fixture Installation A new faucet, sink, toilet or shower, or an old one that drips or runs Set and connect the fixture with new supply lines, check the shutoff valves under it, and test every joint Rarely: a dripping faucet or running toilet can wait a day

There are no price or response-time columns on purpose. Declan tries to get back to people the same day, with urgent problems first, and every job is quoted once we have seen it.

Fixture Installation

Faucets, sinks, toilets, showers and accessible fixtures. A new fixture is where a lot of slow leaks start, usually at a supply connection that was reused, over-tightened or never quite seated. We set the fixture level and secure, connect it with new supply lines, and check the shutoff valves underneath: old multi-turn valves often seize or drip once they are finally turned, and that is the moment to replace them. Then we run water until every joint is dry.

Commercial Projects

Most of our calls are homes, but we also take on larger commercial projects. Declan is licensed and trained in light commercial plumbing, so the same services, from water heaters and drain lines to leak repairs, fixtures and repiping, are available for shops, offices and rental buildings. Commercial work is quoted upfront like everything else, and we plan it around your business hours where we can.

Choosing a Service: Common Questions

Is it a clogged drain or a sewer line problem?

Count the fixtures. If one sink or one tub is slow, the clog is almost always in that fixture’s branch line, and drain cleaning takes care of it. If several fixtures act up at once, especially the lowest ones such as a basement floor drain or a first-floor toilet, the problem is usually in the main line or the sewer line outside. Water coming up through the floor drain when the washing machine empties is a classic main-line sign.

Should I repair my water heater or replace it?

The age of the heater and the condition of the tank decide most of it. Burners, thermostats, heating elements, valves and anode rods can all be replaced. A tank that leaks from its body cannot be repaired. If the heater is near the end of a normal tank life, often 8 to 12 years, and needs an expensive part, replacement is usually the better use of your money. We tell you which way we would go and why. More on the water heater page.

When does a leak mean the house needs repiping?

One leak is a repair. Repeated pinhole leaks in different spots, rusty or brown water from galvanized pipe, or pressure that keeps falling are signs the pipe itself is wearing out. At that point, patching one spot just moves the next leak somewhere else, and a planned repipe usually costs less than a string of emergency repairs plus the water damage. See pipe repair and repiping.

Can you tell what is wrong over the phone?

Often we can narrow it down, and Declan will ask a few questions so he brings the right parts. A firm price comes after we have seen it, because the same symptom can have different causes in different houses. That price comes before any work starts.
